Gunnuts are pretty satisfied with their “interpretation” of what the Founding Fathers meant by the Second Amendment – that they have the right to bring their firepower with them any fucking place they choose. They cling to the second part of the second amendment like a teabagger to a Slanket. To say gun control is part and parcel ex post facto law that is explicitly banned by the Federal Constitution means you didn’t bother to/or can’t read or understand the first half of the fucking sentence with its wordy and inconvenient dependent clause. But who cares, right? It’s just “words” (Rush Limbaugh was just saying “words” when – sounding more and more drug addled – he croaked out that the Batman movie was part of a liberal conspiracy to defame Mitt Romney). Some more words from our Constitution:
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, ensure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
Interpretation: Unarmed Americans, have the right to not have to live in fear of being shot wherever they fucking go. Shockingly, the Constitution applies to non-gunnuts, also. How can the government ensure our “domestic Tranquility”, and how are they promoting our “general Welfare” by allowing assault weapons, will-nilly, in fuckall, and by promoting agendas that leave us at the mercy of every illiterate moron, unhinged brute, child molester, disgruntled husband, and psychopath roaming around with bloodlust, with their legally purchased firearms? In our freaking schools and zoos and movie theaters? When are we-the-people, the unprotected, unarmed Americans going to stand up and say that it is unconstitutional to be forced to live in a country where we have to live in fear of being fucking shot by our fellow citizens? How come the right to protect oneself, family, and friends properly does not work the other way around?

If you want to be the President of the United States of America, you give what is asked of you, to elucidate to the electorate who you really are and what your history on this earth to this point has been. Is it just me or does it seem like every time we turn around, another Republican candidate is being slapped with a copyright infringement suit? What is up with this? Do they, like, not understand the basics of copyright?
The grand old tradition started back in the 80’s when Ronald Reagan bravely invoked “Born in the U.S.A.”, which was no bueno to Mr. Springsteen.
Bobby McFerrin demanded George H.W. Bush stop using “Don’t Worry, Be Happy”.
Bob Dole used “Dole Man,” a clever reworking of “Soul Man” and Isaac Hayes was no bueno.
George W. Bush used Orleans’ “Still The One”; composer/Rep. John Hall, D-NY demands it stop.
John McCain just couldn’t get the hang of copyright law.John Mellencamp demanded John McCain cease using “Our Country”; Tom Petty demanded John McCain stop using “I Won’t Back Down”. Jackson Browne sued the Ohio Republican Party for using the song “Running on Empty” in a campaign ad for John McCain.
Monstrous Minority Whip Eric Cantor was told to cease and desist by Aerosmith for his use of “Back in the Saddle” to declare that “The House GOP is back” thanks to the party’s unanimous opposition to the stimulus.
The Chicago musician who composed the classic rock song “Eye of the Tiger” sued GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich for using the song without permission.
2012 GOP Presidential candidates Rick Santorum, Mitt Romney, and Newt Gingrich, were all sued for patent infringement related to some of their activities on Facebook by a Medical Doctor communication website EveryMD.com,
Sharron Angle was sued by Las Vegas-based Righthaven LLC who accused the Nevada Republican Senate nominee/psychopath of violating copyright laws by posting two newspapers stories in their entirety on her campaign website.
David Byrne, onetime singer of Talking Heads, sued former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist for using “Road to Nowhere” in a campaign ad.
Singer/rapper K’Naan invoked trademark law when he asked Romney’s campaign to stop using the song “Wavin’ Flag” at Romney’s events.
The “Heart” ladies demanded Sarah Palin’s cease and desist in using their song “Barracuda”.
Now I ask. Are these people reallt THAT stupid (rhetorical), OR, just sociopathic criminals who don’t give a shit (rhetorical)?
