Ms Moore was trumpeted as America\u2019s answer to Fran\u00e7oise Sagan. She published three more, lesser known novels,\u00a0<em>The Pigeons of St. Mark\u2019s Place<\/em> (given the alternate titles\u00a0<em>East Side Story<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Diana<\/em>),\u00a0and\u00a0<em>The Horsy Set.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>from the back cover:<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8220;The poor little rich girls of all ages, who work terribly hard at riding and drinking and &#8211; between times &#8211; at philandering and setting their caps at the virile riding-master for whom they yearn.\u00a0Brenda, who tells the story, is only 17.
