Here&#8217;s yet another example of how Twitter is facilitating the self-destruction of politicians by encouraging the posting of every idle thought:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Phil Mitsch&#8221;: smarmy, smug-mugged Republican Senate candidate from Camden, New Jersey. The 62 year old\u00a0former real estate broker\/snake oil salesman and Wayne Newton\/Roger Miller\/Tom Ridge\/Pete Rose hybrid, has been getting\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/tpmlivewire.talkingpointsmemo.com\/2011\/10\/women-should-be-a-whore-in-the-bedroom-says-gop-candidate.php\">slammed<\/a> for a (non ironic) tweet he sent out to his 44,000 followers:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9004\" title=\"000\" src=\"http:\/\/teensleuth.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/000.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"422\" height=\"174\" \/><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Yes, that is exactly what his county needs, a leafy county settled by Quakers, home to Union soldiers and Walt Whitman, and sustained by post WWI immigrant labor, needs Phil Mitsch&#8217;s tax breaks, something called &#8220;mandatory mortgage loan modifications on at risk residential properties,&#8221; and hackneyed, antediluvian sex tips. When questioned about the tweet, the self-styled\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/activerain.com\/philmitsch\">New Jersey real estate legend<\/a> told the\u00a0<em>Philadelphia Inquirer<\/em> that it was:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u201cA great tip! It shows the utmost respect for women.\u2026 What I was trying to say to men was, \u2018Men, look, if you got to go out and play around and you can\u2019t be honest with a woman and respect her, then you\u2019re better off just doing pay, play, and get the \u2018F\u2019 away.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>He initially refused to apologize for the &#8220;great tip&#8221;, saying:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>\u201cI am definitely not apologizing for those two tweets at all. They were <em>relationship tips.<\/em> \u2018Stud in the bedroom\u2019 and \u2018whore in the bedroom,\u2019 those are timeworn adages.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/camdengop.com\/\">Camden County GOP <\/a>Chairman Thomas Booth unbelievably initially stuck by Mitsch even after the &#8220;whore&#8221; tweet, defending him as &#8220;a fantastic candidate&#8221; who had &#8220;made a &#8220;mistake&#8221;. He then changed his tune, demanding an apology. Even though dispensing retro sex advice to 44,000 strangers while running for public office seems like a winning campaign strategy, Mitsch backtracked:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u201cI would like to sincerely apologize for any offense I may have caused anyone, particularly women, as a result of a Twitter post that has recently been reported.\u201d<\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> *<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Then, not being satisfied with his own apology, he decided to explain the tweet in further detail: <\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong> \u201cThe specific tweet in question is an age-old saw most notably quoted by Jerry Hall, Mick Jagger\u2019s ex-wife, in the early 1990\u2019s: My mother said in order to keep a man, you must be a maid in the living room, a cook in the kitchen, a whore in the bedroom. <\/strong><strong>I updated her quote with the fact that men should \u2018be faithful, a gentleman in the living room and a stud in the bedroom, but looking back, I didn\u2019t update the original terminology enough to reflect 21st century sensibilities.\u201d <span style=\"color: #000000;\">**<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Huh? Jerry Hall? &#8220;Age-old saw&#8221;? When was he born &#8211; 1870? Although now exposed as insane, he\u2019s still in the race. <\/span><\/span>Booth threatened to pull his support (why would there\u00a0<em>be<\/em> SUPPORT in the first place? Twitter notwithstanding?) for Mitsch&#8217;s candidacy in the election, demanding an apology that demonstrates that Mitsch<em> understands why the tweet<\/em> was offensive and\u00a0<em>why <\/em>it was wrong to put it on Twitter<strong>:***<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;His excuse &#8211; that he was merely &#8216;paraphrasing&#8217; what others have said &#8211; demonstrates a fundamental failure to appreciate why his statement was so wrong. There are many &#8216;old adages&#8217; out there, and the mere fact that such adages may have been around for a while or may have been used by some semi-famous celebrity does not make them correct or acceptable.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9006\" title=\"4\" src=\"http:\/\/teensleuth.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"357\" height=\"182\" \/><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>\u201cHow the voter interprets my response to [the tweets], I don\u2019t care. I don\u2019t care if I get elected or not. <\/strong><strong>People came after ME to run. It would be a tragedy to be denied \u2026 over stupid tweets that are misinterpreted.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-8999\" title=\"lunatic1\" src=\"http:\/\/teensleuth.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/lunatic11.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"182\" height=\"276\" \/>Mitsch explained the &#8220;whore&#8221; tweet by saying it was a<em> prepackaged<\/em> tweet (you know, sort of like a &#8220;joke of the day&#8221;) that he uses to reach out to perspective clients and friends. He just forgot that the really offensive ones might be a bad idea, you know, now that he\u2019s running for office. The\u00a0mafiosi Dracula manages to tweet incessantly (he\u2019s sent out a whopping 68,820 tweets &#8211; at\u00a010 a day, 365 days a year, it still takes almost <em>19 years <\/em>to get to 68,820 tweets), offering nuggets of advice on everything from finances and politics to relationships and sex.\u00a0To tweet<em> that much<\/em>, to assault the planet that copiously with a Twitter account,\u00a0one has to be totally convinced there are legions of people hanging on your every word. That&#8217;s the\u00a0best part about it &#8211; \u00a0not the alarming stupidity &#8211; \u00a0but Dr Phil\u2019s awesome conceit. He <em>really believes <\/em>he\u2019s helping his Twitter followers, and all those women could really use some sex advice. He&#8217;s like a sexed-up, unfunny, misogynistic Erma Bombeck.\u00a0Mitsch does caution that some of his tweets are infused with his somewhat &#8216;dry&#8217; sense of humor. Like these pearls of advice to the men:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>&#8220;Tell your women they can\u2019t talk to you but they can moan.&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>&#8220;Increase your odds of keeping your women by being faithful, a gentleman in the living room and a stud in the bedroom.&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Followed by:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>&#8220;I always have and always will put women on a pedestal because I have deep respect for them&#8221;.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>His is a constant stream of \u00a0<strong>&#8220;<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/philmitsch\/status\/126299783114665984\">motivational tips<\/a>&#8221; and observations on the pressing love issues of the\u00a0day, like a perverted greeting card auteur, are:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-9015\" title=\"love-is-sharing\" src=\"http:\/\/teensleuth.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/love-is-sharing.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"170\" height=\"230\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>&#8220;To hell with life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.\u00a0Just give me passion&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong> <\/strong><strong>&#8220;A little sex everyday keeps the doctor away.\u00a0Screw the apple&#8221;.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>&#8220;When a woman lets a man make love to her she is really letting him\u00a0make love to her heart and soul&#8221; <span style=\"color: #000000;\">****<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-9005 aligncenter\" title=\"1\" src=\"http:\/\/teensleuth.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"421\" height=\"144\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Phil, this neanderthal behavior may be acceptable in <em>Iran, <\/em>where a government representative can go on <em>Twitter<\/em> pontificating on how less than 50% of his constituency is not really their equal. But this is <em>America! <\/em>You&#8217;re not supposed to put your creepy misogyny on a public forum! Keep it in the boardroom where it belongs! You don&#8217;t need <em>Twitter<\/em> to tell us ladies that you&#8217;re a class act, it&#8217;s obvious by the way you hold your glasses between your fingertips so you won&#8217;t lose them,\u00a0the shoe-polish jet hair and eyebrows to match, the embroidered monogram on the French cuff, the pre-folded handkerchief in your chest pocket, Suav-vay!\u00a0Maybe you never meant to suggest that women should be &#8220;whores&#8221; in the bedroom &#8211; although you do look like you knows\u00a0a lot more about the whores than you does the ladies &#8211; but actually intended to say &#8220;sluts&#8221;.\u00a0Whores charge a fee, whereas sluts do it for free.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-9000\" title=\"philloon\" src=\"http:\/\/teensleuth.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/philloon.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"208\" height=\"319\" \/>Say what you will about Phil Mitsch, but he is psychotically industrious. Besides tweeting like a mad man, Mitsch has 2 websites, one of which &#8211; &#8220;Solutions for a Better America&#8221; &#8211; includes helpful business tips like\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/philmitschtraining.com\/_blog\/Phil_Mitsch_-_Solutions_For_America_And_A_Better_Life_For_You\/post\/How_To_Create_The_Ultimate_Letterhead\/\">How to Create the Ultimate Letterhead<\/a> and everyday tips such as\u00a0&#8220;Truth Will Set You Free, But First It Will Usually Piss You Off&#8221;!<strong>. <\/strong>He has books, videos, blogs, podcasts, and seminars. He is, according to his website: &#8220;America&#8217;s Leading Economic, Real Estate, Lending And Motivational Coach.\u00a0Real Estate Industry&#8217;s All Time Top Producing Residential Realtor. New Jersey State Senate Candidate District 6&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>In other words he is<strong> \u201cunfit for public office,\u201d <\/strong>according to\u00a0the New Jersey GOP who is calling for Mitsch to back out of the race. Undeterred, <a href=\"http:\/\/philmitschforamerica.com\/phil_mitsch_bio.htm\">Mitsch<\/a> will face Democratic incumbent James Beach in the Nov. 8 election.\u00a0Come on, New Jersey! America needs a philosophical &#8220;big thinker&#8221; in office! Especially ones that churn out bon mots like an X-rated, 1950&#8217;s bromide generator from the &#8220;Love is&#8221; figurine factory.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">*<\/span><em> &#8220;Sorry if you bitches can&#8217;t take a joke&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>**<\/strong><\/span>&#8220;N<em>ot intended to be a factual statement.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">***<\/span> <\/strong>Can you imagine working for the GOP and having to word and reword and simplify and reduce everything for the imbeciles running on your party ticket?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">****<\/span><\/strong>Need to find out who this guy&#8217;s mistress is.
