Then read on.\u00a0According to Fox News, it\u2019s a myth that polar bears are threatened by global warming since the polar bear is actually \u201cthriving.\u201d THRIVING.<\/p>\n<p>Fox Snooze broadcast a segment where Rob Rivett, President of the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pacificlegal.org\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">&#8220;Pacific Legal Foundation&#8221;<\/span><\/a><\/strong>, boldy claimed polar bears\u2019 only \u2018threatened\u2019 status is that they &#8211; the bears &#8211; \u00a0are a \u2018threat\u2019\u201d to the fossil fuel industry:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>In essence through computer modelling, the federal government determined that this species would be losing its sea ice habitat and because of the loss of sea ice habitat, they felt it was necessary to put them on the threatened list.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>He went on to claim that the bear\u2019s status \u201cis a real problem\u201d because the fossil fuel industry will suffer.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>[If] you\u2019re going to to make that more expensive of through regulation, all the rest of us are going to be impacted by that and jobs are going to lost because of that.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Go on, guess what kind of American funds the \u201cPacific Legal Foundation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The polar bear &#8211; on its own &#8211; \u00a0is not a particularly good reason to stop fucking over the environment. After all, they are an apex predator and therefore relatively small in numbers.\u00a0But the apex predators are a good indicator of the health of an entire ecosystem. You can&#8217;t support a peak without a mountain under it.<\/p>\n<p>Then again, the fossil fuel industry is the real apex predator, and they&#8217;re doing fine.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s help the polar bears REALLY thrive.
