In the area known as Embajadores, where my friend Eugenia lives, there’s a street called De la Ribera de Curtidores that houses 3 small leather and equestrian shops. They are tiny and filled with leather saddles and bridles, halters and bits and colorful saddle bags. They have great collections of leather bags, purses and briefcases, and a small but fab collection of equestrian boots, short and tall. My sister labeled this street the avenue of the short boots, for some reason. Inexplicably, all 3 of these stores also carry bird cages.
